The AGHP Announce Rope Access Safety Recognition Recipients for 2024

The Association of Geohazard Professionals is pleased to recognize Access Limited Construction, Apex Rockfall Mitigation, Axis Stabilization, BAT Construction LTD., Delve Underground, Emil Anderson Construction (EAC) Inc., Gannett Fleming Inc, GeoStabilization International®, GRA Global Rockwork, GZA GeoEnvironmental, New York State Parks and Recreation, Pacific Blasting & Demolition Ltd., Washington State Department of Transportation, and Yeh and Associates, Inc. as recipients of the 2024 AGHP
Rope Access Safety Recognition Program. This program, honoring best-in-class safety
development and implementation initiatives within the geohazard industry, distinguishes
companies that foster and employ safe rope access work procedures, provide education and
training to their personnel, and commit to enhancing the safety culture within their organizations.
Criteria for consideration include:

• lowest TRC rate
• minimum combined 85-point score in leading and trailing safety indicator categories
• lowest Days Away and Restricted duty/job Transfer case (DART) rate.

Each applicants’ safety program and performance metrics were reviewed, including Total
Incident Rates and Lost Time / Modified Duty Rates statistics. Additionally, management
involvement and commitment to the firm’s safety program, written rope access safety
procedures, and adherence to industry best practices were examined.

The AGHP recognizes industry leaders who take rope access safety seriously through the annual Rope
Access Safety Recognition program. With a total of 15 recipients this year, these organizations have
proven track records and integrated safety procedures to ensure projects are carried out safely and
