Call for Abstracts
The 2018 Annual Technical Forum for Geohazards Impacting Transportation will be hosted by Maryland Department of Transportation and sponsored by the Marshall University Center for Environmental, Geotechnical and Applied Sciences (CEGAS).
This year’s technical sessions will focus on the following major topics:
- Lessons Learned: Case Studies
- Rock Slopes
- UAV Applications
- Instrumentation
- Impact of Extreme Weather Events on Transportation Infrastructure
- Abandoned Mine Lands
- Acid Producing Materials
- Infrastructure Failure that Mimics Geohazards
Abstracts on the related topics are welcome. Abstracts should be submitted for consideration, for presentation at the Forum, on or before June 8, 2018. Abstracts should be in Microsoft Word format, Times New Roman, 12-pitch, double-spaced and left justified, and be 300 words or less. The abstract should include the presentation title, presenters’ names, title, organization or company affiliation, business address, phone number and email address. Selected presenters will be notified by June 22, 2018, and PowerPoint presentations will be due on or before July 20, 2018. For information or questions concerning conference presentations, please contact Tony Szwilski Szwilski@marshall.edu, (304) 696-5457.
