An associated organization, The Australian Centre for Geomechanics (ACG), much like the AGHP, has a core goal to increase the transfer of technology within the field of geomechanics. In late 2017, they launched the Online Repository of Conference Proceedings, which made ACG conference papers more accessible for industry and academia.
Since 2005, the ACG has published highly technical conference papers across the geotechnical mining spectrum, including underground and open-pit mining, paste and thickened tailings, and mine closure. Their repository aims to provide the mining geomechanics fraternity with open access to these peer-reviewed conference papers and help readers maintain and develop their skills, knowledge, and capabilities.
Aside from allowing users to download numerous past and current conference papers freely, the site features several other useful functions. The highly interactive and searchable repository provides importable citation information in various formats, links to the paper authors’ profiles on ORCID, ResearchGate, and LinkedIn, and the ability to share papers on social media.
There are currently 1,900 papers freely available on the repository from 48 conference proceedings. Since launching this site, there have been over 430,000 paper downloads to over 190 countries. Access the online repository with the following link: https://papers.acg.uwa.edu.au/.
