RocTunnel3: 3D Block Stability Analysis for Underground Rock Engineering

Thursday, November 21, 2024 | 12:00 - 1:00 pm EST | Online

Structurally-controlled block failures in underground excavations can now be analyzed via a 3D limit equilibrium approach with consideration of key blocks. This webinar introduces RocTunnel3, Rocscience’s latest product for 3D underground block stability assessment.

A demo of RocTunnel3 will be provided:

  • Construction of a 3D underground model and discontinuities
  • Integrations with ShapeMetrix, Dips, and UnWedge
  • Staging of excavations, bolts, shotcrete, and external loads
  • Calculations of blocks and factors of safety
  • Interpretation of results for key blocks and stabilization
